INTRODUCTION
The Diploma in Islamic Counselling is one of the newest academic programs at UnIPSAS, first offered in 2015. It provides education in the field of Islamic counselling at the diploma level. The medium of instruction includes Malay, Arabic, and English, with a total of 92 credit hours. Teaching is conducted through lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and fieldwork.
The aim of this diploma program is to produce graduates who possess knowledge in Islamic counselling to assist the community in a semi-professional capacity while fulfilling the responsibility and mission of da’wah.

PROGRAM FACTS
In 2013, the number of registered counsellors with the Malaysian Board of Counsellors was 5,085. According to the Board, this number is still considered low. The introduction of this program is expected to produce more registered counsellors in Malaysia.
