Requirements
– Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 and at least TWO full passes, one of which must be in a subject related to Islamic Studies; OR
– Passed an equivalent qualification to STPM such as A-level, provided that the candidate has passed at least one Islamic Studies subject in the qualification; OR
– Passed a Matriculation programme or a qualification recognized as Foundation in Islamic Studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00; OR
– Passed the Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) with an overall grade of Maqbul; OR
– A recognized Diploma in Islamic Studies or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.
All about the program / introduction of the program
The Bachelor of Syariah with Judicial Administration (Honours) is one of the bachelor’s degree programs offered at the Faculty of Syariah and Law, UnIPSAS. The duration of study for this program is 8 semesters (4 years). To ensure that the program maintains high quality and standards while achieving its objectives, the curriculum was developed by lecturers from the Department of Syariah in collaboration with experts and professionals in the field of Syariah law and judiciary, including those from the Pahang Syariah Judiciary Department and the Syariah Lawyers Association of Pahang.
Additionally, the curriculum review for this program also incorporates input and insights from appointed academic and industry panels with expertise in Syariah, judiciary, and legal matters.
The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and the Pahang Islamic and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) have recognized and accredited the Bachelor of Syariah with Judicial Administration (Honours) program as a qualification that enables graduates to practice as Syariah Lawyers in the Federal Territories and the State of Pahang, while also granting them exemption from undertaking the advanced diploma in Syariah Judicial Administration, which is otherwise an additional requirement for qualification.
