Requirements
– A recognized Master’s Degree in Islamic Studies or its equivalent; or
– A Master’s Degree in another field without formal qualifications in Islamic Studies may be accepted provided the applicant passes a qualifying examination to verify a sufficient level of background knowledge. The examination comprises written and oral components (including an interview).
Applicants who successfully pass both the oral and written tests are eligible and required to take three courses to strengthen their knowledge in Islamic Studies, namely Introduction to Usuluddin, Introduction to Shariah, and Islamic Epistemology.
